Project

Project management - Retrofitting the fire compartments in Terminal 1

Frankfurt Airport, Germany

Project description

The existing security check units in the B-East and B-West sections of Terminal 1 are to be removed and replaced by a new centralized security check installation at the check-in area in Hall B. To be able to implement this primary measure, secondary submeasures and adaptations in the area of the baggage conveyor system are required. The associated changes to building services and existing building permits require the refurbishment/reassessment of structural fire protection measures in certain sections of levels Z1 and 1. In addition, new passenger facilities will be built to control the traffic flow.
