Requirements Planning and Management

CLEAR OBJECTIVES ENSURE EFFECTIVE PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT

Requirements Planning and Management

Comprehensive requirements planning in accordance with DIN 18205 lays the foundation for minimizing risks and ensuring the successful implementation of your project. The first step in requirements analysis is to identify the specific requirements and define clear project objectives.

LOGO uses construction project-specific, web-based software to analyze requirements and develop specifications and requirement briefs as a basis for planning and project delivery.

Our BriefBuilder database enables us to involve all project stakeholders in requirements management and ensure maximum transparency, a high level of quality and optimal use of resources throughout the project lifecycle.

Our Services

Defining project objectives

In the initial phase, we help our clients define and describe their specific project objectives. To this end, we use a workshop format as well as various methods and tools.

Recording and validating user requirements

For successful project planning, the overarching objectives must be defined, and all needs must be translated into concrete requirements, prioritized and checked for possible conflicts of objectives. This is done in close collaboration with future users.

Space and functional programs

For a detailed description of the required areas and functional relationships, we create a digital space and functional program as a central part of the requirements planning and specifications.

Database-supported specifications

All project parameters and objectives are provided to the planning team as the basis for creating a comprehensive specification sheet or requirements plan. We create this documentation using an online database designed specifically for construction projects.

Quality management / target–actual analyses

During the planning and implementation phase, we perform structured planning reviews and on-site inspections to ensure that the specified requirements are implemented in accordance with the client’s wishes. For highly complex projects, requirements and quality management can also be carried out directly in the CAD or BIM model through daily data exchange.

Detailed specification of the requirements

Not all requirements can be described in detail in the initial phase. Therefore, technical space requirements and specific equipment in particular should be specified and documented accordingly in consultation with the user and planner during the planning process.

Change management

Targets and requirements can change, especially in long-term construction projects. Because these changes will affect the scope of the project, it is essential to review their potential impact prior to implementation and to document the resulting decisions.

Commissioning management

As the interface between the construction project and the subsequent operations, we accompany the functional acceptance and commissioning process of buildings or infrastructure. Key steps of a handover include early involvement of all stakeholders, extensive training and education, and a complete handover of the documentation.
