Project

Project Development NEW Fire Station North

Airport Berlin Brandenburg GmbH,
Germany

Project description

The positive development of the Berlin site requires continuous improvements and future-proof planning when it comes to the airport infrastructure. These plans include the continued use of Berlin-Schönefeld airport as Terminal 5 of the new Berlin Brandenburg airport in order to ensure the required service capacities are available. According to recommendations from EASA and ICAO, the airport fire department must be able to reach the deployment location within three minutes under optimal conditions. When taking the terminal location into consideration, along with the airport apron and runways, as well as expected restrictions due to construction measures, the temporal specification can only be met with additional operative efforts due to the existing fire department infrastructure. As a result, the requirement for a new fire station was included in the master planning phase. Together with Dierks & Cramer Architekten, LOGO is conducting the project development of a new fire station. This comprehensive demand and requirements management and systems planning aims to lay the foundation for a successful project.
