Second LOGO Training at Cologne Bonn Airport “Construction During Ongoing Operations”

How do you carry out construction work at an airport while passenger handling and aircraft operations must continue without interruption?

This question was at the heart of our second training session “Construction During Ongoing Operations,” attended by employees from the flight operations and civil engineering departments of Cologne Bonn Airport GmbH.

Two intensive days filled with hands-on practice, exchange, and aha moments focused on:

• identifying risks at an early stage,

• planning construction processes under operational conditions,

• applying effective safety measures,

• understanding communication as a key factor for project success,

• thinking strategically about interim and temporary replacement measures,

• and a highlight: an exciting site visit to a construction project right in the middle of ongoing airport operations.
