Fascinating insights from our webinar series “High Noon Knowledge Exchange”
Episode 2 focused on “collaborative operational planning on construction sites” and included a highly productive proactive exchange of ideas with the participants. Thank you to all who took part!
One key insight we would like to share with you:
The methodology presented for operational planning is an excerpt from the organization of a large project and refers to organizing a manageable sub-project team effectively. In this context, the methodology can provide significant added value in promoting collaboration between different trades. But there is no single right solution or approach in this.
Arved Weidemüller emphasizes that, at LOGO IC, the focus is always on supporting communication between all parties in the best possible way. This is why, in the approach presented, agile flexibility takes precedence over the rigid application of a tool or method.
The Miro board has proven to be an effective central starting point for us. It is an easy-to-use, clear and flexible way to visualize and continuously update timelines, construction phase-related task tracking, and other key information.
The apparent disadvantages (lack of history and automatic process linking) are offset by the clear way it visualizes the actual deadline situation, which enables users to devise solutions and optimizations autonomously.
What did the participants like about the High Noon Knowledge Exchange?
Short, concise input; new inspiration for their own project work; tips and ideas for using Miro; transferability to other project phases.
