City of Frankfurt Grants Building Permit for Terminal 3

On August 12, 2014, the responsible building authority of the City of Frankfurt approved the construction application submitted by Fraport AG for Terminal 3. The construction of the new terminal on the southern site of Frankfurt Airport is part of the airport expansion approved under the planning approval decision.

A modular construction approach is planned for the new terminal. In the first construction phase, which has now been approved, a central terminal building with two piers and a capacity of 14 million passengers per year is planned.
