Project description
Langen town council is the owner of a community hall that was being used as a youth club. The building is about 50 years old, was not being used efficiently, and was in dire need of renovation. To make the building an attractive landmark on Langen’s shopping street again, a conversion concept was developed that considered the current and future needs of the venue. The concept also took into account the objective of achieving climate-neutral building operations by 2045.
LOGO InfraConsult, in cooperation with IADC, produced a conversion concept and a sustainability strategy that not only allowed continued use of the building, but also made it an attractive hub for local people, while making it energy-efficient and sustainable at the same time. To this end, LOGO InfraConsult drafted a comprehensive appraisal, a site analysis, and a carbon footprint calculation to determine the best options for conversion and renovation.
