Project

Expansion of Hall C

Frankfurt Airport,
Germany

Project description

To increase the passenger handling capacity at Frankfurt Airport’s Terminal 1, the check-in hall C was expanded by 40 service counters (including airline offices) and 4 baggage claim carousels. Furthermore, an airside connecting passage to Terminal 2 was installed as well as border control posts of the Federal Police and new facilities for customs controls. In order to ensure reliable airport operations, numerous temporary areas had to be created to ensure integration with the existing airport buildings.
